Design Education Resource (DPR)

October 21, 2013 / By aigaeducators

An AIGA DEC initiative, the Design Projects Resource (DPR, a working title) is an on-line resource through which design educators can share assignments and project documentation including learning goals, schedule and deliverables and images of finished work. The initiative is currently being developed by Annabelle Gould, AIGA DEC member and Associate Professor of Visual Communication Design at the University of Washington. A mockup/walk through of the tool was presented at Head Heart Hand in Minneapolis. Stay tuned for details.

The tool’s principle goals are:
—To facilitate communication between educators from a variety of institutions.
—To allow educators to share and receive feedback on assignments.
—To provide educators with inspiration when planning their own classes.
—To document research and teaching methods from design programs.

AIGA encourages thoughtful, responsible discourse. Please add comments judiciously, and refrain from maligning any individual, institution or body of work. Read our policy on commenting.
